Sheet 04 · Connectivity

Business connectivity

Five ways to connect a site. We recommend the one that suits the site, not the one we'd rather sell.

Every connection is quoted per site

Trench section

Method 01 / 05

Dark fibre

Unlit fibre between your sites. You connect your own equipment at each end, so you control the whole link and can add capacity later without changing the service.

Good for

Two or more sites you plan to keep for a long time, where you want full control of the link.

Elevation, site to site

Method 02 / 05

Layer 2 and Layer 3 · 100M to 10G

Point-to-point Layer 2 links and routed Layer 3 services from 100M to 10G, supplied through our wholesale partners and set up by us. We compare the wholesale options for each site and pick the one that suits it.

Good for

Sites that need a reliable link by a set date, without running your own fibre.

Plan, metro blocks

Method 03 / 05

Melbourne metro direct connect

Direct network connections between your sites in metro Melbourne. Traffic between the sites stays off the public internet.

Good for

Two or more sites in metro Melbourne that need to work as one network.

Elevation, primary + backup

Method 04 / 05

Starlink with 4G backup

Starlink and other satellite services for regional and remote sites. A 4G connection takes over automatically if the satellite drops out.

Good for

Remote properties, camps, temporary sites and anywhere without fibre or a fixed line.

Profile, path + Fresnel zone

Method 05 / 05

Fixed wireless

Radio links between two points where cable isn't practical. We check line of sight on site and design the link to suit the distance and terrain.

Good for

Farms, depots, buildings across a road, sites that fibre doesn't reach.

Tell us which sites you need connected and what the connection is for.

Every connection is quoted per site. We usually need to look at the site before we can say which option will work.
