Sheet 03 · Consulting

Network design and consulting

We design new networks, review existing ones and help you choose between carriers. We work with MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco and Juniper gear and don't resell any one brand.

Scope

Common jobs

Here are some of the jobs we do. If yours isn't on the list, get in touch anyway.

New offices and office moves

We plan the network for the new space, including cabling, Wi-Fi and the comms room. We work with your builder or fit-out team so it's ready when you move in.

A second site that needs connecting

We work out the best way to link the sites, whether that's fibre, a Layer 2 service or a fixed wireless link. Then we set it up so both sites work as one network.

A network that's slow or keeps dropping out

We find the cause and tell you whether it's worth fixing or replacing. If the network is fine and the problem is somewhere else, we'll tell you that too.

Choosing between carriers

We're not tied to any carrier, so we can compare the options for your site. We'll tell you which one we'd pick and why.

Drawing up a network nobody has documented

We work out what's there, label it and give you drawings you can hand to anyone who works on it later.

Sheet 03a · Charges

Who does it

What you keep
Drawings, equipment lists and documentation, in common formats. They're yours to keep.
Where
Based in Kensington, working across Melbourne and regional Victoria, and interstate when the job needs it.
