Sheet L1 · terms
Terms of engagement
What governs an engagement today
Until published terms exist, each piece of work is governed by the written scope and quote issued for it, agreed by both parties before the work starts. That document sets out what is being delivered, on what basis it is charged, and what is excluded.
Charging
Consulting and network design are charged hourly and billed weekly, with discounted rates available for ongoing projects paid in advance. Rates are quoted per engagement rather than published, because the work varies too much for a rate card to be honest. Connectivity services are quoted per site and requirement.
Documentation and ownership
Drawings, equipment schedules and as-built documentation produced for an engagement are handed over to the client in portable formats. TinkerNet does not retain them as a means of keeping a client dependent.
Consumer rights
Nothing in any engagement excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Complaints
Raise a complaint directly with us first, by phone on 03 4321 2626 or by email to info@tinkernet.com.au. If a complaint relates to a telecommunications service and cannot be resolved with us, the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) can be contacted on 1800 062 058.
